What I Should Know

These gutters are badly rusted out!

Do I Need My Gutters Replaced?

There are several reasons that gutters might need replacement.  Sometimes wind gusts can weaken gutters that were not properly installed.  Sometimes hail damage can cause dents or make gutters more susceptible to rust.  Once your gutters do have rust, it will only be a matter of time until they are leaking.  If you notice little drips from the middle of your gutters, you notice your downspouts are leaking, or can see rust spots in the bottom like the image on the left, its probably time for replacement.  Gutters typically need to be replaced every 15 to 30 years depending on how well they have been installed and maintained.  If your house is 20 years old, chances are that the original gutters are on their last legs.   If you are unsure, give us a call and we can tell you for certain.  If your gutters are fine, we promise not to sell you things you don't need.

How Much Will This Cost Me?

Compared to many home repairs, new gutters are not expensive at all.  However, every job is different, so we would love to send out a trained estimator to evaluate your home and give you a solid quote.   In some cases, typical home owners insurance will cover most or all of the cost of gutter replacement (minus your current deductible).  They do this because they know that leaky gutters can cause wood rot, water damage, and a whole mess of much more expensive problems.  When you think about the cost of replacing rotten fascia board, repairing eroded stucco walls, or something worse, gutters are a great investment.  They add to the overall value or your home, as well as beautify while they protect.

Gutters are essential for any house, barn, or shed

Why Do I Need Gutters On My House

Gutters are an essential part of the weatherproofing of your house.  A heavy spring rain in Colorado could be as much as one inch per square inch.   Now try to imagine if one inch of rain fell per square inch over your roof that is 30 feet by 40 feet.  That is almost 15,000 square inches of rain falling on your roof in less than one hour.  The purpose of rain gutters is take that rain from the waterproof roof, move it away from the vulnerable wood right below the roof.  It channels all of that water and safely places it on a lawn or at least a more desirable location.  Without gutters a heavy rain storm can damage your woodwork, fascia, lawn, or even flood a basement.

Why Shouldn't I Do The Installation Myself?

There are products available on the market that allow home owners to install their own rain gutters.  A past customer referred to them as "Leggo Gutters".  They are easy to assemble kits where you basically snap together 10' tubes along the roof of your house.  This is a great idea that fails to pan out.  As you can see in the image to the right, these gutters often fall apart after only a few years.  Rain gutter installation requires experience and know how in order to prevent frame rot damage, winter freezing, ensure proper drainage, or to prevent a laundry list of other problems.

We use only the best quality products

What Makes Aquaduct Gutters Different?

Aquaduct Gutters only uses the finest quality products to install your gutters.  We use aluminum gutters which are much more reliable than plastic while still being nearly rust proof, unlike steel gutters.  While most of our competitors use the cheaper silicone sealant (which can literally be pulled off by hand), we use industrial grade sealant unavailable to the public to ensure that your gutters will not leak.  Our gutter machine will build a single seamless gutter to fit your needs instead of piecing together many smaller, weaker pieces and trying to keep them sealed.  Our craftsmanship, quality, and dedication to our customers is unmatched.  We try to keep our prices competitive as possible, but we know that you still may find cheaper prices out there, but you won't be getting an Aquaduct quality job.  We choose quality over cutting corners.  You get what you pay for!
